Sandy
Scooters opened in March 2006 after much consideration about what
scooterists need.
We soon realised that there are already a lot of scooter
shops out there but where we aim to be different is in our approach
to you and your scooter.
How?
Simple, we aim to provide you with a shop where you
can bring your scooter for diagnosis, repair and advice. That's it!
Why's that different?
Many dealers do repairs but a lot of their time is
also taken up with mail order. While that's OK it does take the
mechanic away from the workbench.
So we have now got our online shop up and running but this will not affect the mechanic and bench time, we will be taking on extra staff for this is required. This ensures we have
more time to spend with you and your scooter and that means you
get to stay on the road more! |
About
Sandy Scooters
Sandy Scooters was born in March 2006, filling a gap left locally by the moving of another dealer out of the area. It became very popular very quickly and soon outgrew itself and its original intentions so in June 2007 a local scooterist (who was in the middle of being made redundant) took on the business keeping the same excellent mechanic in place.
Donnie, the new owner has worked for the NHS for almost two decades and applies much of what he has learnt to running the business but first and foremost puts customer care at the top of the list! It's not really rocket science, good customer care ensures a loyal customer base, simple.
Paul, the mechanic, has years of experience having worked formerly
at Grand Prix Scooters in Leicester and has rubbed shoulders with the likes of Harry Barlow! Again many of you may already know
him and know he's a very experienced and competent mechanic.
This is this team that has come together to bring you a scooter
shop where you can feel confident in our workmanship and products,
or just drop in, say hi and discuss your needs.
The kettle is always on but we can't promise that the biscuits won't have run out by the time you get here.
